hey guys what's up so today i'm gonna be showing you guys a few of my fall favorites. just a heads up mostly will be clothes, because i am so much more of a fashion person in fall than any other time of the year. so the first thing i kind of want to start with my favorite thing, should i... yeah, we'll just do it. alright so the

first thing is this huge this huge i forgot what it is? :p this huge blanket scarf. it is just so cute and big and i love it. yeah, so this i got from old navy and i just got actually a little while ago and i worn like 50 times already so i am in love with this. the next thing is

actually not something that i got new like it's not new this year i have probably had these for... probably had these for like three years now. but i still love them. they are these big gray boots that i got from kohls, but like i said it was... had to be three years ago, so not sure you can still get these, but i am in love with these. i have been for a

few years now. since i got them actually, but yeah so that's that. so the next thing i want to show you guys is these cute little boot cuffs. so i made these last year yeah, i think i made these last year. they're really simple to make actually i feel like doing diy maybe on this one time. you guys should let me know if you want

me to make a video for you about these or how to make these so, yeah, let me know. yeah, these are super cute i love the maroon that's probably one of my favorite part about these. ok so the next thing that i have is this cute caramel-colored beanie. i just love this. i don't know why, but my sister got it for me for christmas last year and i absolutely love it.

it's just so cute. it's like one of my favorite things ever. so warm and i love the top of it. messed up my hair now :p yeah, this one is so cute i am in love with it. ok, so the next thing is actually two things, i'ts just this plain silky gray shirt, that i got from old navy. and i got it a size bigger, which i feel like old navy runs a size bigger, but i got this a

a size bigger than i would normally wear because i kind of wanted like a baggy shirt. and then i got this one to, from old navy, same exact thing except this one says "stay wild" and i love this one. i've worn this one a lot!! like a lot this fall. so, i love those two and of course this is maroon so... i feel like you're going to see like 50 things that are marooned in here,

because i just really like maroon. yeah. so, the next thing i got was these jeans from american eagle and they're just your basic skinny jeans, but i feel like these ones are so much softer, like i don't know there's just really soft and stretchy and like i feel like i'm wearing sweatpants when i'm wearing these. so if you know me that's totally up my alley. so now... oh, hang on. we have these leggings

these are totally more of like a pajama, around the house. but i feel like i love these they're so cute. i know wear them a lot. so, yeah, i love the pattern on them too. but yeah, so i love these, so cute. um, did i say where they were from there from.... they are from abercrombie and fitch. so yeah, i try to find a lot of the stuff but i know like these these came from a thrift store so

i'm going to try and find things, but i don't know if i can. next up we have another thrift store find, and these are.. this says american eagle outfitters, but i got from thrift store. so, um it's just a super, super long cardigan sort of thing. it's really nice to wear with like a dress or like a... i don't know a dress is usually what i wear it with. or like

leggings and an oversized shirt is really cute too. but yeah, i love this it's got little, cute little pockets. not that i ever put anything, but it's nice to have pockets. so the next thing i have for you guys is also from old navy. i feel like a lot of things are from old navy. that's kinda were i went shopping last so, probably why i have a lot things from old navy.

but anyway, we have this blue... it's kind of a crop top but it's not a crop top. because i don't, i don't like crop tops. but it's got like, it goes up in the front and then it's got a longer back. so i don't know i really like this i like the colors and i love the sleeves. like they go super long and they like narrow down so that nice and tight and warm. so yeah, this i wear this a lot with like, leggings i guess because i like how the back goes down more but

yeah this is so cute. i love this i wear a lot. so then we have this mustard infinity crochet scarf which i made and i love this i love the color. ( it's so cute ) yeah, if you guys want to see the video i made on how to make this, i will link it up right there, so you guys can go check that out if you want. but the one i made in the video is maroon. and i wear that one a lot, but i feel like i wear this one

more because its mustard and it's perfect because i feel like mustard is one of those colors where you just need a little bit like if you have too much, it might be like a little overpowering. but this is so cute to pair with like like a gray shirt with some jeans or any kind of, i like denim like if you pair this with denim it looks really cute too.

so yeah that's this. ( video cut out ) alright so anyway i have this shawl that i got from a thrift store. and it's just super cute it's like crochet, or no it's not crocheted. it's knitted and yeah i love wearing this around the house. it's like my comfy little through on thing, and yeah so cute. now we're going to do beauty, so for beauty i have this white eyeliner pen, and or eye shadow pen. it's an eye shadow waterproof pen, from new york color. and i love this because it does

the corners of your eyes really good and it's waterproof so it stays on and yeah so cute i just got this, but i have been wanting something like this for a really long time. so i was so excited to find this. the next thing i have is this harvest apple sun shades chapstick, which is from melaleuca and love melaleuca's chapsticks because i have like... i don't know they have lot of flavors. i think this is a seasonal one, but yeah i think you can still get it so i'll link that below...

along with all the other stuff from this favorites video. that have been loving is this pure ice nail polish and i'm actually wearing it now it's like a gold bronze sort of shimmery, like it's not a glitter nail polish, but it's like a metallic almost. but yeah it's a "risk taker" by pure ice and i love this nail polish. so now onto music. for music i have these earbuds that i got from tzumi,

i think that's how you say it. tzumi. i actually got these from old navy but to tzumi the brand. and they're just like silver mentally earbuds and they're so nice like super cool they just stay in good and yeah. i go through earbuds a lot like when i run i end up breaking them so much so i'm always buying them, but these are really good.

now songs i've been loving this fall are: i lived by one republic, renegades by x-ambassadors, open your eyes by snow patrol, 80s mercedes by maren morris, and then last one which is definitely my favorite, like i really love this i've been singing this so much too. like it just gets stuck in your head. is a drop in the ocean by ron pope. and that onei really love. i think that's my number one. so now onto books.

so i know this is not a book but i had no idea where else to put this in this video. and i feel like... i don't know it just goes with books for me so, that is my lemon echinacea throat coat tea by traditional met... by traditional medicinals. throat coat tea. so good i love this so much!! i'm actually drinking it right now. oh, it got cold. alright so now that i put the tea in there onto books. so the first book that i have that i've been loving this fall is the diary of a young girl by anne frank.

and i know a lot of people have read this i mean. and everyone probably knows who anne frank it's pretty much, but i did not read this until now and i've been wanting to read it for years. so that i love this year. and it was so good. anyway yeah. the second book that i have is the help by kathryn stockett. and i don't know like this book was just so like i cried in the end it was so sad, but it was such a good book like i just loved it like it was

funny and it was just like inspiring too. it was a really good book and i loved it. i definitely recommend this book for you guys, it is awesome and i loved it. i just finished actually like two days ago but it didn't take me that long either because it was one of those books that you did not want to put down, but anyway yeah so you should totally check this out.

and that's it for my books. so now onto tv shows. for tv shows i have been loving of course survivor because i always watch survivor like every season. i my aunt got me kind of stuck on it and then my mom started watching it with us so now it's kind of like a family thing we watch. so yeah watching survivor, but i just started watching this new show i am

so obsessed with it like i've only seen. like three episodes and i'm like this is the best show i've ever seen so this show you definitely have to watch it is: timeless. i don't know i love historical like, tv shows like that so.. i'm obsessed with that. anyway i'm almost out of space so i can't go into all the details about timeless, but i would love to because i love that show and you guys definitely have to check that out. but yeah, that's it so i hope you guys enjoyed this favorites video if

you did make sure to give it a big thumbs up and yeah that's it, see you guys in my next video, bye.

welcome to my channel, i am chris and today i will show you a build ! let's see now the items for this build zalman z11 hf1 pc case.. for its value is a real good case, we will discuss more about it later on the video.. power supply.. seasonic 850w evo edition .. because we picked an amd cpu.. you can see the unboxing of psu on my other videos, its a really top quality psu. sabertooth 990fx r2, the best choice for overclocking our amd cpu.. we will do overclock on our build, we ll talk later on the video about it corsair vengeance 1600mhz cl8 for even better rates... really good quality, all corsair products are top quality..choose em without hard thinking..

samsung evo 850 120gb ssd.. because our budget isn't that big.. and we prefer to invest more money on other parts of the build.. here we got the jewel of our build, the item that steals our focus.. gigabyte r9 390 gpu.. the perfect value for money choice .. fx 8320 cpu we have chosen this exact cpu, because we wanted the best option for streaming, multitasking.. overall heavy duty purposes on that budget... intel is atm a better cpu manufacturer , but for exactly that build and our aims amd fx 8320 was the best choice.. we talk about 8 core cpu , yes on single core is worst.. but there are apps, there are things you need multicores like streaming.. maybe is an older cpu but for our build was the best choice ! you ll ask now, why 8320 and not 8350 or even better? because we are talking about the same chipset same year same technology..

we ll overclock 8320 to 5.0ghz as we would do on any other.... so by picking 8320 you save money.. is the best value for money choice! our hdd of 1tb wd.. a common thing to see on such builds.. here we got our watercooler cpu cooler.. maelstrom 240, an item that i have done unboxing in the past... a really good choice for its value and quality ofc ! let's start our build ! the first thing we ll do is a test build.. we ll put together all items outside of the case.. so if something is defective its easier for us.. we save time and effort !! so we take out of the boxes all the items.. and now the first thing to do.. is to take mobo's box as base for our build... this way we re safer from static electricity .. something that is bad for our pc parts..

i ll show you later the exact step by step guide.. now i ll move it fast..

asus 10.1inch transformer book

hello, here's another asus t100 case opening...i actually got a comment - really kind comment - on the unboxing for this case, which i'llput a link in the corner to. that's for the t100ha... and the comment said could i showwhat a case for a t100 transformer book ta looks like. and i might have mentioned it,i think it actually appeared in the video. this is my sadly departed t100 ta. it gaveme so much life. i don't know if you can see... hello! there's a crack on the screen. i'vebeen using this daily for about two years. so this probably isn't a great review forit, even though i think it did me proud. i put too much in my bag, and it put a bit toomuch pressure on the hinge - and this bit's not protected. i'll show you the case in aminute - there's no padding here, it's just

a strip of leather. look, you can see whereit's worn over time where it's rubbed against things in my bag. but i carried it daily!it protected this daily. and what's really nice with this case - it's an ivso case - i.v.s.o.- i'll put a link to it underneath this video on the description. so it was a great case, even though it did eventually get cracked in my bag... i still think it was a greatcase, and it protected it for over 2 years - every day, about 2 hours of travelling,in my bag. i used this laptop daily. and it was wonderful, and it still works! it's justgot a cracked screen, and i've let it charge down. so not sure i can boot it up for you.but anyway, wheyy there it goes. so to show you what the ivso case looks like, for thet100 ta it doesn't fit this - because the

holes for the ports are in the wrong place...and there's no hole for a camera that the t100 ha has, but if you've got a t100ta thisis great. i don't know if this shows up on the camera...i'll hold it really close - this embossed ivso...and if i could find one of these for a t100ha, i'd get it in a shot, but i haven't seen oneand this doesn't fit. so what you get with this case its a t100ta case - it folds overso you've already got double - i sound like a qvc presenter - you've got double protection.it's a really good cushion either side and it's really thick. not like the folio casesthat you get - i don't know if you can see - that's thin, it's enough to buffer any impact- but it doesn't feel like the same chunky

cushion - this feels like a big wad of padding.and it's double here because this folds over. and then the way it works, is with a foliocase you get a clip which is a bit annoying when you've got your wrists resting - whenyou do as much typing as i do - this was much nicer and fits really snugly. the other thingwith a folio case you can see the keyboard moves and has to move - because of the hinge.with the t100ta because of the hinge here, it fits snugly into these leather corner pouches.so for me this was the best case. i had a hard case - i wont mention the brand- in my opinion because the hard case clipped to the transformer, it cracked in about 2weeks. and it hadnt taken an impact, the bag wasnt stacked like it sometimes is, it justcracked really badly. i felt much more comfortable

with a leather case. and it's a proper case.i'll show you not that i do this that much because i always use it as a laptop... butthe back pops open. with poppers. and then its free to be undocked. the t100ta you pressa button. and there you go. and its a nice case forjust the tablet. there's magnetic things in here so it does stay closed. and then putit back together again. clip it back on. and then clip case back on with these popperson the back. so i hope it helps that you can see what itlooks like. i'll turn the light on. the way it clips onto the keyboard. with theelastic straps. something i'm worried with the t100 ha i wonder how much strain it putson the hinge. on a ta there's a gap there.

it doesnt seem to cause stress. on a t100hait really does. and i've had to cut off the strip that goes over the hinge.so that's the t100ta case - it's ivso - i think it's brilliant - it really cushionedthis little computer from a lot of knocks. the link in the description below, ill linkto playlist above for t100 videos, mainly about the ha. thanks for following and it'dhelp to subscribe - button below. if these videos help at all and i'll make another casevideo any day now.

asus 10.1 windows 8 tablet

hello everyone! this is the asus transformer book t100 what's cool about this one, is that is has an intel atom processor, and a full version of windows 8.1 installed although my preferred operating system is linux, i think that windows offers some advantages on this type of machine. today i won't do a review, but i'll look at how windows works on this type of machine, with touch screen and everthing. here we have the transformer book docked in it's keyboard dock. it's like a computer now and the touch screen really works great in the modern ui. when i'm working in the modern ui, i prefer to use the touch screen, but as soon as i get into the desktop i prefer to use the mouse instead, as it gives extra precision. one thing i was curious about before i got to try it out, was how firefox works with a touch screen.

i will show you that now. let's go to wikipedia firefox won't work like internet explorer or any browser you are used to on a tablet, when you pinch-zoom, it will just enlarge the text, and it won't zoom in on the page. if we instead go to the touch-friendly modern ui version of firefox, we'll see that the zoom works in another way. when i pinch-zoom, it will just zoom in instead of enlarging the text. another thing we can have a look at, is how changing the volume works on a touch-screen if i start some music, the most obvious way to change the volume is with this little slider. but, it's quite hard to get it to work, as if you don't hit the slider perfectly, it will just jump around you have to put your finger in exact the right position to get it to work.

there's a easier and more touch-friendly way in the settings-menu, and this slider will work much better with the touch-screen. copy-pasting also works quite well on the touch screen.all you have to do is drag your finger across the text, then press and hold to get up the right-click menu and press copy. go to the other window, hold, and click paste. you can also bring up the keyboard, and press ctrl+v if you want to maximize your screen's real-estate, you can use the smaller taskbar buttons. if you want even more real-estate, you can auto-hide the taskbar. but that does not work so well, as you can't swipe from the bottom, you have to swipe from the top. then, if you want to bring up the keyboard you lose focus so you can't enter an url. if we take a look at the power-settings, you'll see that the only setting here is when to put the tablet to sleep.

there's no way to set when to turn off the display, and that is because of something called connected standby. in order to demonstrate connected standby, i'll open up the tunein app and start playing a radio station. with the radio station in the modern ui playing, i'll open up firefox in the desktop and start another music video. now we have two pieces of music playing at the same time, and when i put the computer to sleep... ...you will hear that there's only the modern ui radio station playing. if i unlock the tablet, you'll hear that the youtube music video is now playing again. if you're downloading a file and the computer goes to sleep, then your download will stop however, that can be solved by going into the settings of most torrenting programs and check the "inhibit system sleep while torrents are active". if you're wondering how to get to the bios on this type of machine, many people say that the way is to go through the update and recovery

and use the advanced startup from there. using that method you can get into the bios, but it is also possible go get into the bios directly when booting the computer. all you have to do is to press down the volume-down button while powering on the tablet, and you'll see this boot manager. if you don't have a keyboard, you can use the volume buttons to navigate. with the volume-up button you can go through the menus, and the volume-down button enters a menu. if you then want to install linux, secure boot can be a obstacle for that. it's not too hard to disable it. after you have disabled secure boot, your computer will show the message "preparing bitlocker revovery", and show a blue screen asking you to enter your bitlocker recovery key. this recovery key you can find either in the control panel, or online if you log into your microsoft account.

after you have entered the key, it's stored so you won't have to enter it again. there i showed you a little how windows 8 works on a tablet with a touch-screen. i hope you enjoyed this video, and if you are interested please check out my other videos as well. have a great day!

asus 10.1 vivotab 32gb

alright! this is the access technologyteam, national federation of the blind. we arefilming the unboxing of the brand new surface slate that wejust got from microsoft amy mason is doing the unboxing clara van gerven is doing the holding ofthe ipad 3 which is what we're using to film this just as an extra piece of making this a slate face-off. go!

to unbox we are going to involve the box cutter just a little bit a little bit more. but while i'm unboxing this i can tell you a little bit about the microsoft slate this will be the rt model so it'sgot an arm processor inside the box if all goes as planned we should have some lovely goodies

above and beyond the slate itself, including the keyboard which i'm very excited to see. i fail at opening boxes. there we go. gently remove the inner box. it's shiny. it's a big white box that says surface on it cvg: let me come and zoom in in blue writing and in a separate panel out of the box ihave received the, uh, keyboard case

and it just slips out of its carrier like that i think there's something else in here it doesn't want to come out very good. paper giblet about the surface. that appears to possibly be everything in that little section anything else in the box? oh. it slid out of its inner box coming out of the big box in the first place the outer box is actually black with white surface on it

so, since that's helped me in the unboxing already, we're going to see about popping him to the actual main event here. ah. ok. cvg: amy, you did some testing before handwith the beta software while you're unboxing you want to tell us a little bit about your experience about that so we can set the stage for what people should expect am: microsoft has made big strides in narrator functionality, and it rather impressively

works with for microsoft rather impressively works now with touch gestures. what i tended to find was that a lot of the big strokes, a lot of thebig ideas were really there. really logical, really well laid out some of the fine points still need some tweaking. cvg: alright now, there's the surface

am: this is the surface itself. it feels nice and solid in your hands. take the plastic safety cover off. oh, that feels really nice. really it does feel just as nice as any ipad or the nexus 7. physically it's great feeling hardware. cvg: i see that there's two slots onthe bottom where the keyboard slots in. could you move the plastic, amy?

am: otherwise in the box we've got a power cord. that appears... cvg: usb? am: it is...cvg: or regular?am: it is... not a usb power cord. it looks like it acts a lot like one of the mac power cords, where it has the plug that actually pops out the side and then it's actually a magnetic connection to the side of the device. looks to be like that would connect...right about here i think.

cvg: that's on the bottom right hand side?. left hand side? bottom right? am: bottom right. and there it is. on the back it has a little kickstand that is actually included in thedevice cvg: nice.am: opens up, shuts nicely. allows us to set it up on its front and stare at us.

so that's rather nice actually. is there anything else in the bin of the box? nope, cardboard. right, so let's go ahead and connect it to the keyboard and turn this puppy on. and see what we can learn. the keyboard, by the way, is an extra cost add-on but it's also one that microsoft recommends very highly. oh, um, there we are. so let's turn this bad boy on cvg: can you do a quick description of thekeyboard and what buttons are, um, on the actual surface?

am: the keyboard is on what feels very much like similar to a smart cover work for an apple device with literally almost an etched feel for each of the keys. they have no tactile feedback in that when you press them, they don't press back. they don't give at all.

and unfortunately they also don't have the little bumps for f and j so i'm having a little difficulty finding my beginner points on the actual keyboard piece itself. on the tablet, the surface itself, we have a volume rocker on the left hand side and the windows key, well there's a windows logo

that's possibly the windows key. on the tablet that we tested on there was a physical windows key in the center of the bezel, which was a samsung series 7 this, however is there's a visual windows logo graphically painted on the screen here but nothing tactile to discern it.

so that could be interesting. cvg: start it up! am: let start her up... there, maybe that's her power button on the top. yeah, there we go. cvg: the screen is now just reading surface. nothing else ishappening yet. there's a little icon that indicates that it's loading. am: first load must be a little be of a lengthy process.

cvg: so we have the first visual uh... configuration screen. see if we can kick it into narrator. am: because they are slightly more tactile i'm going to actually be using the windows key on the keyboard here, with the uh... up volume key we can turn on narrator. and we're having none of that so see if i can find my windows key.

as i'm pressing the windows key on the actual device the surface is vibrating just a little bit. cvg so there's some haptic feedback that... it's not actually starting there either. am: oh, there we go.cvg: there goes narrator. all right. narrator just gave us some basicinstructions on how to get started. a triple tap with ...i forgot what it said! it was either a triple tap with four fingers

or a quadruple tap with three fingers. but we're going to try triple tap with four fingers and i'll let you know if that works. there we go. that allowed us to actually... yes, stop reading... tap once with two fingers. that allowed us to get into its narrator setup. so that's kind of nice. we can do the flick gesture similar to what we do on ios.

and it's actually running me through the different gestures. this being a windows device, it has some different ways of handling its interactions. for example, like with a physical standard windows machine with a mouse thereare secondary actions available for different things that you can tap on. so instead of tapping on them with one finger, you actually would hold with one and tapwith another two.

it's just a different way of handling it. i've got to admit not in love with not having a physical start button. one can get used to it, but... cvg: shall we try to set it up and... am: yeah, we'll give it a shot. yeah cvg: and in keeping with the voicethere's also a visual highlighter box

that tracks the gestures, or tracks the focus. am: sorry about that. didn't mean to have him interrupt you. [narrator talks in the background] let's try english. there we go. non-selected? cvg: now visually it's actuallyselected, so not sure why it doesn't read that. am: we're going to accept that. because we don't get to move on withoutaccepting the license terms for using windows. button?

pc name? right, i'm going to try this keyboard. unfortunately to do that i have to turn the device away from the viewership at least a little. i i'm trying! [hits different keys on the keyboard] cvg: now are you having trouble finding thekeys or are they just not responsive? am: a little of both. mostly finding the right keys is a bit of a problemwithout any kind of a tactile nub to give me my f and j. cvg: ok am: they're actually more responsive than i'm giving them credit for, i think, but it's very

off-putting to type on a keyboard without any kind of tactile feedback at all. i'm not sure how hard to hit to make it accept them because i'm actually able to move my fingers across it without starting things. microsoft's claiming that that's going to actually besomething that people get faster at. ok, select whozit, that'd be lovely. cvg: ok, so you're selecting a wireless network. [narrator talking] am: this is a little tricky with the setup

because of course explore by touch you're going to have to explore everyinch of the screen to find that ok button. and that's a little difficult to do when essentially working over the device's shoulder, so to speak. so i apologize for any wait. cvg: so you can't flick to that control? am: i would have had to flick through

all of the wireless networks list first. that might have been an easier option but i have found that it really depends. sometimes it'll flick to the controls properly, sometimes it wasn't doing so great in earlier tests using the beta software. cvg: ok am: it's asking for the password.cvg: for that actually i'm going to pause. cvg: all right, so we're now connected to the network am: we're back on, let's see what we've got. [narrator speaking]

lovely. express settings. we'd like to see. are you asking me do these things? or i'm a little confused as to what it's asking me here.cvg: visually it looks like it's just a list.am: oh good. then we'll pass that list!cvg: obviously for a blind user that's going to be very puzzling. aha!

i don't want to do that right now, friends. really? yes, the old way. that is what i'd like to do my little friend. why did it take me back to the top? i apologize, friends, i am slightly confused here as well. it appears to have taken me back to the topof the page when i want to get back down to my buttons at the bottom. yes, local account.

narrator: microsoft account button. local account button. doubletap to activate. am: ok it's told me to double tap the local account to activate it, so i double tap it. it works this time. earlier it was telling me "there is noprimary action for that" it's an interesting device. beautiful hardware. cvg: again, this is not the most interesting, so let me pauze it for a moment.

all right, we're back. visually it's giving some sort of uh... startup screen for which there is no audio at all. it's telling you a little bit about how it works. uhm but yes, no audio whatsoever there.

am: absolutely nothing, even when i interact with the screen. cvg: so at this point the visuals are cycling uh... but it gives no indication ofprogress. visually now after about five minutes it's saying we're getting your pcready but no audio indication whatsoever thatit isn't just broken. am: it's really quite frustrating. welcome back!

our friend the surface has returned, and we have, what have we got going on? ah. let's get rid of you. cvg: so by default the first thing it brings up are the narrator settings before you even get to the am: before you can get to the start screen or the home screen. i guess it's called the start screen in windows actually. in what used to be called metro and they're now calling window 8 ui. no. yes and that, once we found the right button actually worked as planned. so what we have here in there...there we go

are what they call live tiles. they are, shush live tiles which are essentially both an icon and a information container. they literally are large boxes on the screen that are fairly brightly colored with big icons within them that are interactable. as things are set up on the tablet the weather will, instead of showing some random weather icon, possibly clouds and a sun,

i'm not sure, it would actually give us a basic weather report. or something along the lines of it's 72 degrees and sunny in baltimore. cvg: and that's available to narrator? am: that is available to narrator, at least it was during the beta. getting that set up was a little tricky, because the actual next level interface although it worked, was somewhat counter-intuitive. cvg: can we go to it now and see whether it would bring anything up by default?

cause certainly potentially it could recognize the location without any further prompting. am: indeed. let's see if we can find the weather. there we are. oh well it's picked... cvg so it's rotating through a number of weather forecasts for different places. am: albeit that's interesting

i am exploring the window with my finger here to see what i can learn. we're going to start flick gestures to see if we can learn anything more definitive. [coughs] pardon me friends. and it just asked me if we wanted to turn onon location services which we did. and hopefully that means we're going to find out that the weather here is 50 degrees.

that doesn't tell me a lot, guys. it came up with the web address. didn't sound like anything i wanted to care about. and it's giving us the weather report for the week. let's go ahead and go back to our home screen. ok, that's going to get on my nerves. at the moment i am trying to discover the start button and not having a great deal of cvg: is there a start button on the...am: there is, we're going to use that now. ah, that start button [on the keyboard] works

reliably at least for now and since it's at least tactually outlined, it's slightly easier to find. cvg: all right, any last comments before we wrap up theseinitial impressions? am: i think that the surface is going to be an interesting device but not for the faint of heart. it's got of a lot of quirks yet and something you've got to remember especially about the rt version whichis the one we have here running an

arm processor. it's meant to be a tablet first andforemost, not a full-blown windows pc and it's not going to run any other screen access package or any legacy software. if you go for a surface tablet uh... that's available right now this is all you can get. the pro version will be running windows 8. it's out later this year or early next. and then it may be a different ballgame.

interesting but not my tablet of choice yet, to be honest. cvg: all right. thanks amy. this is access technology signing off from baltimore, maryland!

asus 10.1 transformer book t100

hello everyone! this is the asus transformer book t100 what's cool about this one, is that is has an intel atom processor, and a full version of windows 8.1 installed although my preferred operating system is linux, i think that windows offers some advantages on this type of machine. today i won't do a review, but i'll look at how windows works on this type of machine, with touch screen and everthing. here we have the transformer book docked in it's keyboard dock. it's like a computer now and the touch screen really works great in the modern ui. when i'm working in the modern ui, i prefer to use the touch screen, but as soon as i get into the desktop i prefer to use the mouse instead, as it gives extra precision. one thing i was curious about before i got to try it out, was how firefox works with a touch screen.

i will show you that now. let's go to wikipedia firefox won't work like internet explorer or any browser you are used to on a tablet, when you pinch-zoom, it will just enlarge the text, and it won't zoom in on the page. if we instead go to the touch-friendly modern ui version of firefox, we'll see that the zoom works in another way. when i pinch-zoom, it will just zoom in instead of enlarging the text. another thing we can have a look at, is how changing the volume works on a touch-screen if i start some music, the most obvious way to change the volume is with this little slider. but, it's quite hard to get it to work, as if you don't hit the slider perfectly, it will just jump around you have to put your finger in exact the right position to get it to work.

there's a easier and more touch-friendly way in the settings-menu, and this slider will work much better with the touch-screen. copy-pasting also works quite well on the touch screen.all you have to do is drag your finger across the text, then press and hold to get up the right-click menu and press copy. go to the other window, hold, and click paste. you can also bring up the keyboard, and press ctrl+v if you want to maximize your screen's real-estate, you can use the smaller taskbar buttons. if you want even more real-estate, you can auto-hide the taskbar. but that does not work so well, as you can't swipe from the bottom, you have to swipe from the top. then, if you want to bring up the keyboard you lose focus so you can't enter an url. if we take a look at the power-settings, you'll see that the only setting here is when to put the tablet to sleep.

there's no way to set when to turn off the display, and that is because of something called connected standby. in order to demonstrate connected standby, i'll open up the tunein app and start playing a radio station. with the radio station in the modern ui playing, i'll open up firefox in the desktop and start another music video. now we have two pieces of music playing at the same time, and when i put the computer to sleep... ...you will hear that there's only the modern ui radio station playing. if i unlock the tablet, you'll hear that the youtube music video is now playing again. if you're downloading a file and the computer goes to sleep, then your download will stop however, that can be solved by going into the settings of most torrenting programs and check the "inhibit system sleep while torrents are active". if you're wondering how to get to the bios on this type of machine, many people say that the way is to go through the update and recovery

and use the advanced startup from there. using that method you can get into the bios, but it is also possible go get into the bios directly when booting the computer. all you have to do is to press down the volume-down button while powering on the tablet, and you'll see this boot manager. if you don't have a keyboard, you can use the volume buttons to navigate. with the volume-up button you can go through the menus, and the volume-down button enters a menu. if you then want to install linux, secure boot can be a obstacle for that. it's not too hard to disable it. after you have disabled secure boot, your computer will show the message "preparing bitlocker revovery", and show a blue screen asking you to enter your bitlocker recovery key. this recovery key you can find either in the control panel, or online if you log into your microsoft account.

after you have entered the key, it's stored so you won't have to enter it again. there i showed you a little how windows 8 works on a tablet with a touch-screen. i hope you enjoyed this video, and if you are interested please check out my other videos as well. have a great day!

asus 10.1 touch screen laptop

touchscreen technology is widely used today. mostly on smartphones, computers, gameconsoles and recently on tablets... giving users both, the intuitive interaction of a touchscreen interface, with the powerand advantages of a regular computer. in our case, we were curiousabout their drawing capabilities. could they be an alternative to the expensive, display-based, drawing devices? so we went out to see some of the latestoptions available and after testing many brands and models,we chose to publish, on our youtube channel 6 short video demonstrations of what we think to be the best contenders

let's see who they are... the microsoft surface pro; the apple ipad 4th generation; sony vaio pro 13; the sony vaio tap 11; the samsung galaxy note pro; and the sony vaio duo 13. after testing them with luis kaã§moli, a professional transportation designer, we decided the top three.

and based on his feedback, we'll see now in detail some of the pros and cons of each model. even though we used different, and in many cases very limiting software that isn't suited for professional drawing, we could still sense the quality of the screen, its quickness of response to the pen and tell if it was of a good enough quality for drawing [3rd] microsoft surface pro: [pros] it runs the regular windows osyou would find on a laptop, not the rt or other low-powered versions. so you can run your favorite professional drawing software

with the advantage of not having to attach any external device to start drawing no compromises in this version of the surface: you get all the power of an intel core i5 processor; fast solid-state drive; and good enough ram to run the latest software; a good 1080p display (which looks amazing); 10 points of multitouch and last, but not least: it comes with a wacom pen. the screen response is impressive and it's a pleasure to draw. even though we were using a software like paint,

it was still giving perfect and natural results. overall this was one of the best screens we tested. the price is very competitive: €649 and it's very inviting for the amount of power and features you get. [cons] only one, but essential: the screen size. too small. you have less surface space and this might be limiting while drawing.

a 13" would have been perfect to have with this screen quality. [2nd] the samsung galaxy note pro even though a 13” or larger would have been perfect, the screen size is enough for drawing comfortably and it’s perfect for sketching with its 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity. it comes with the wacom s-pen but works perfectly with other pens too. we tried the bamboo stylus feel and the bamboo stylus duo and the result was excellent in both cases. sketchbook pro is a good combination with this kind of hardware

and it comes preinstalled and in an optimized version for the tablet. this is a complete application for drawing: you can use layers, export them in photoshop and much more. a bit expensive. even though it’s a good tablet overall, it’s still a tablet and not a laptop. so you’re limited to the apps running in a second-class operating system. [1st] sony vaio duo 13 it has a carbon fiber casing with an aluminum palm rest. and the clever “surf slider” design which makes it easy to switch between tablet and laptop modes. the pen that sony uses is the n-trig duosense 2 and it performed

as good as the wacom pens even though we used it with a limiting software like paint. you have the intuitive interaction of a touchscreen interface, when used as a tablet. and the power and advantages of a conventional computer, when used as a laptop. no need to attach external devices to start drawing. with the possibility to use powerful software like photoshop, artrage, sketchbook pro etc. expensive! even though it’s a good quality and convertible device. the sony pen runs with a battery, so our battery-less wacom pens didn’t work. but luckily the battery on the n-trig stylus will last well over a year. so in conclusion, to answer our question.yes, there are good alternatives to the display-based drawing devices.

sony vaio duo 13 is one of the best options for now. but still too expensive to compete with the pen displays. if the price drops in the future, they could be a viable alternative to the display-based drawing devices.

asus 10.1 tablet cover

i ordered for my asus tablet a leather casewhich claims to be ultra thin. it took a while to arrive, and while it wasin transit i had to protect the device from dirt with the transportation filmthe device is wrapped in on purchase. the looks were awful.so, the case finally arrived so lets unpack it. it is really very thin andsimultaneously quite hard. it has a pleasantly soft surface and the lid hasmagnetic holders and can be folded to form an angle.lets try putting it on. and here comes the first peculiarity - the casecovers the connector, which is a good thing from dust protection point ofview, but may be a nuisance if you like to

charge your devices withoutopening the case. the skin also has a hard frame, and you can use it to holdthe handmade screen protector i was talking about in one of my previous videos.to do it, take a clear paper folder or any other hard yet clear enough filmand cut it to fit the screen size. now insert it between the device and thecase. the frame with securely hold the protector in place so you don't have touse any adhesive. a screen shield like this is not only completely bubblesfree, but is also easily removable for cleaning with zero risk of gettingwater on to the tablet. lets check that the case is not an obstaclefor cable connections. phone

jack and dock connector are easily accessible,as well as the memory card slot. other holes like camera, flash and onboardspeaker grill are also well-cut and match the ones on the device itself. onthe whole, i'm quite happy with the purchase.
